Half-truths, truths that lie, by the work of the devil, if you believe in one...

Statements that while true, polarize issues....something you have not been taught, because they are not in your books, because of all things, this may be the philosophical flaw we inhereted from the Garden of Eden....imagine !
Reply:the media and sensationalism

Question is, what to do about it?

I don't think it's a problem of education, per se, it has more to do with your society as a whole. How would most Americans answer these questions?...

Are ideas more interesting than products?

Is the world more interesting than the USA?

Are other people more interesting / important than you?

Getting out of the house, out of the city, out of your own country and exploring a bit is the key, in my opinion.

The DaVinci Code...funny.
Reply:,All you have posted has harmed .But Ignorance and the dumbing down of society . rings my bell. Katrina, woke me up. When one will put their life at stake. waiting on the federal government to come rescue you. My Goodness, what have we done to our people to get them to this way of thinking.? If I put in my views. on this I would get deleted. so why tee off yahoo.?

Would, it not be so much better to help another human being

know how to take pride, and have self respect in themselves, than to keep them feeling totally helpless, and depending on a broken system to bail them out. This is so sad to me.Sure we can help them after the fact, but I think we would do better to help before the fact.

Thanks, for asking.
Reply:4.) Pres. Bush's claims about being "Christian" .

He claimed it yet wanted war, blood and death. Oh wait... that is what Christians have been about throughout history.
Reply:Im going w/ #1 and #6. While ignorance is bliss in most cases and i wish i wasnt so aware of what is going on as im bitter and pissed off constantly, people are being herded and just nodding and smiling w/ whatever the nice TV screen tells them. Its sad. Common sense and critical thinking are gone, and have been replaced w/ reality TV and super churches.
