Huckabee or Guliani? It seems like the media is supporting the two weakest conservatives, is that the case?

Huckabee's record in Arkansas isn't conservative, except for social issues which aren't going to mean much in the Whitehouse, it's not like he can personally overturn Row vs Wade. The you got Guliani who is basically a liberal except fiscally, but he is an open borders guy who will not stop illegal immigration. Either one will be helpful to liberal causes, not real conservatives. Who are the real conservatives that the media dismisses?

Ron Paul.

Tancredo.

1) You're an idiot

2) Ron Paul and Tancredo are not conservatives. Ron Paul is a libertarian and Tancredo is a populist. That being said Giuliani is a moderate libertarian and Huckabee is a populist. Your theory on what's conservative is totally bogus. The leading GOP candidates are about as conservative or more so than the candidates you prefer.

3) The media doesn't support conservatives period. The media is liberal overall and is most likely trying to tear down Giuliani and promote Huckabee, because Giuliani is the most electable Republican running and is the only one who has a chance of beating Hillary. Huckabee is one of the worst candidates, and would be an easy win for Hilllary. Paul and Tancredo would be easy kills too.

4) Do you really consider Paul and Tancredo in the same ideological category? Paul is a libertarian, and Tancredo is a populist. They basically have opposing ideologies.
Reply:All of a sudden, the media is supporting Huckabee? Seems to me they ignored him, until he went up in the polls. Then they started to cover him. That is not the same thing as supporting him.
Reply:People who have poll numbers less than 4% don't get very much press. Why do you say that the media supports Huckabee or Giuliani? Have they received any endorsements? Covering a newsworthy candidate and supporting him or her are two different things.
Reply:Giuliani. Huckabee's policies are fine -- except for his delusions about the existence of some sort of god, which could help the US. But those are disqualifying.
Reply:Both of them are well supported by different branches of the Republican party (Huckabee the social conservatices Rudy the fiscal ones). Because they are in the lead, they get coverage.
Reply:Humm......I do like what Huckabee said in the debate a couple of weeks ago about abolishing the IRS.....so he got my attention. Until then I didn't know who he was. Too bad we couldn't just make all those running for President now....work together to make this USA the place it is supposed to be. Fair and honest without loopholes, and bs. Get it back on the right track.
Reply:I like Paul and Tancredo and hope they can gain some sizeable support. I am pulling for them as well as Romney.

Rudy has electability at least, and leadership skills (even though I would not vote for the man in the primaries).

Huckabee is just a nut job however.
Reply:It's not the media who are supporting them. Polls are showing strong support for them and the media are reporting that. Maybe even the Republicans have had enough of this uber-conservatism?
