I think the current Neocon administration is using ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION as a SCAPEGOAT so people can blame all of America's social problems on illegals.





Illegal Immigration isn't new... Its been going on since forever. Chinese sneaking in...Cubans, floating in, etc. This was a mild -lukewarm subject during the early80's- the 90's.





I believe the reason why nobody noticed it or cared about it during BUSH1 - Clinton's administration is because we weren't having the financial problems and budget problems we are having now.


Bush is spending 8 times more than the rest of the world in national defense - basically a slush fund for Haliburton and Lockheed Martin. Bush is cutting Pell grants, medicine costs are skyrocketing, fuel costs are skyrocketing and the cost of living overall too.

The neocons are hijacking government power, stealing money and running so many underhanded schemes in the background, they absolutely must find a way of covering up their crimes. That's why they keep America afraid with terrorism and fear of immigrants - rather than actually doing something about it except pontificating.

The media has the attention span of a 2 year old. They go with the latest and most news worthy story. Right now, it is illegal aliens.
Reply:We have laws in this country about every thing. Immigration laws are on the books. They were on the books way before President Bush came into office.





To equate Controlling our nations boarders with Hitler and Nazism is a abortion if anyone thoughts. We are not blaming any or our social issues on illegals but we do have a big problem with illegals crossing the boarders. This is not economically feasible for a good economy first of all.





It can be put very simply, Illegals people are not immigrants. they are Illegal people from different countries breaking United States Laws, there for if you are here Illegally, working then you are a law breaker and you need to be stopped breaking the laws.





There are millions of law abiding true immigrants here in this country that have come here under the rules set up by congress and the people. We welcome these people and we need to regulate the amount of people that come in this country to stay.





There fore if you are here as an Illegal then you are a law breaker of our USA laws. There are ramifications for breaking any laws. The problem is so great now a days that the grass root Americans are feeling the pain for the overwhelming odds of these Illegal law breakers. It is they that are pushing the government for action. Bush is only caught up in the backlash of the verbal rebellion along the southern boarders.





So if you can not understand, first the law of immigration, second the effects on the enconomy, if to many Illegal law breakers come to one community, third how the government is required by law to protect its boarders, then you are a small thinkging person, with a little mind and no sence of understanding the whole problem. You are just one more Bush hater and basher.





Wise up the boarders are being over run and not you see the Illegal law breakers now what to have a voice in the way they should be treated.

You are an idiot if you think the U.S. didn't have financial problems until Bush took the Con (pardon pun). The illegal immigrants are a problem and supporting them is no small load on the economy. I don't know why I should have to pay to educate, medicate, and feed people from another country when they have zero entitlements here.





Regardless of how you view what the President is spending, we still shouldn't have to pay the bills for illegal immigrants.

Reply:Yes, they're trying to blame the illegals for problems to divert our attention from other issues such as Iraq, the growing federal budget deficit and the war on terrorism.





In California, we have many, many illegals, most of whom work their tails off for little pay. One study reported in the newspaper (sorry, I don't remember the source) showed that half of the illegals are hired by homeowners wanting cheap labor for jobs around their homes (day laborers). The illegals like these jobs because they get paid and sometimes the owners provide them with lunch. The rest of the illegals are in agriculture, construction and restaurants, although they're also in factory work.





My take on this is: borders may be written in stone on maps, but that doesn't always have any effect on people. People need to support their families, and if it means travelling hundreds of miles to a foreign country, they will do it.





If we really wanted to stop illegal immigration, we would police the employers that hire the illegals. That means using the national database to check an identification against it, that means not "wink winking" at the obvious fake green card, and that means paying U.S. citizens more to do the jobs.





If it were my native American boyfriend writing, he would say that everyone except native Americans need to go home. You're all illegaMF
