The media, in all forms, is it just a means of control?

I mean, CNN, Fox News, Newspapers, everything that you see in it is allowed to be published or broadcasted. I just wonder how many stories, international events and significant social events go swept under the rug or portrayed in a way to simply pursuade the public into one point of view? Sometimes it seems we are being controlled on a mass scale.

The media, in all forms, is it just a means of control?
Control is the media's evident ultimate goal, in that they apparently want to sway public opinion on many matters. Some do it far more blatantly than others such as Fox News ("Faux News"), which is totally in the pocket of the RRR Cult -- the PSEUDO-Christian "Religious" Radical Right.

It's a very SUBTLE form of brainwashing, since they must always be on guard against being caught out and exposed as being unobjective. Most news outlets accomplish that pretty well... but Faux News does it amateurishly and abysmally. And thus make themselves a ludicrous laughingstock to just about everyone except the RRR Cult's lemmings.
Reply:Its called propaganda and if you listen to it without a lot of discernment without reading between the lines and assuming you are deliberately being mislead, they've succeeded in decieving you.The internet is the only source which allows us the freedom to learn our own truths.

B-I-N-G-O!!

People are easier to control, when they think they have choices.
Reply:It's common sense really, all media is biased in one way or another. Political figures have their own way of influencing different news and media networks with either money or any other way. If you have noticed, different News stations are more conservative or liberal, or are lenient to a certain presidential candidate.
Reply:It's all about the information, what we hear, what we see, how we work, it's about who controls the information.
