What is the best place to find work for those without a degree?

I am currently on a gap year before university and am having trouble finding a job, as most positions available on the top recruitment websites (monster, reed, fish4jobs etc.) are for graduates. I am not in desperate need for money, rather I am looking for a job that will provide me with some good experience for after my degree, and basically look good on my CV. I hope to eventually work in either statistics or research (social, media, political rather than market research) and so ideally would be looking for a job in these sectors, perhaps just as an administrator/assistant/junior if nothing else is available. Does anyone know of a) any companies that recruit for these types of jobs without a degree, or b) a jobsite that caters specifically to those without a degree?

As a college student, that hasn't completed my degree yet, I think "finding work without a degree" is an oxymoron.
Reply:I don't know about UK websites or specific companies but since you are more concerned about the experience than the money. Think about an internship or even volunteer at a job that is in your field. You don't have to get a paycheck to learn skills and have a work experience. Any company would love 'free labor' and be willing to let you do some of the statistics or research once you have proved yourself.
