Communist went after teachers, media and the court systems because they claim it was corrupt once they took control.





Todays Conservatives are going after teacher, media and court systems because they claim they are corrupt.





Communist build walls around their countries to keep their people from getting out, under the guise of protecting their people.





Conservatives want to build a wall around our country to protect our people from outsiders that are coming in to do harm to our country.





Communist bugged and tap their peoples phones, homes and office to protect the people and the government from harm.





Conservatives wants warrantless wire tapping in order to protect the people and the government from harm.





This list can go on and on, but it is strange that those are the right are acting more like those that Reagan spoke out against the most.

I agree with you that conservatives act totalitarian.


But please don't confuse communism and totalitarian government. Communism (as written by Karl Marx) is an economic system in which everyone works equal amounts and gets equal pay. The reason communism is equated with totalitarianism is because in the countries that have been communist so far a fascist leader has been able to rise to power, because the preceding government had no checks or balances to stop that rise to power.

Conservatives want to adhere more closely to what the founding fathers set up. They want a smaller government and less government interference (power) in personal lives. Personal responsibility for your own family, health care, education, and nest egg is encouraged. They want taxes to be kept down so that if you work hard, you can keep most of it and not support the deadbeats that live on your block.


They DON'T want everything to be socialized and let the government dole it out to us as it sees fit.

Recently, legislation favoring corporations over workers and consumers has sharply diminished the power of labor unions and opportunities for small entrepreneurs, while historically, corporations have maimed and killed their employees and their customers with hazardous working conditions and unsafe products. The wealthy elite class has dominated American politics via dynasties like the Bush clan and the Kennedy family. The predominance of regressive over progressive taxes has virtually guaranteed that the majority of America 's riches remains in the hands of the Plutocrats.
Reply:You are a good spin doctor. Conservatives are only going after all those groups, because they are preaching entitlements. Obviously you feel entitled. The Walls around the US border is to keep out others that feel entitled to the US supporting them. The US installed infrastructure payed for by the US taxpayer. This infrastructure is used by rich %26amp; poor to create further wealth. The US taxpayer isn't obligated to share this asset with others.





If the liberals were truly into helping the 3rd world improve their lot, they'd take a hint from the Marshal plan that brought back the economies of Europe %26amp; Japan. Infrastructure is used by rich %26amp; poor to create additional wealth.





For those that hate the wealth the 1st world has don't worry it will dry up soon. The 1st world economies are based on cheap energy - Both to make our toys %26amp; use them! As fossil fossils dwindle the economies will spiral down. This spiral will be tightened by the baby-boomers retirement bill. Today the 1st baby-boomer applied for Social Security. As the assets are consumed there will be less for all liberal agendas %26amp; in fact all agendas. If energy gets too tight we no longer will be able to live in cities or have the present population, since energy prolongs the durability of FOOD.

It was the Republicans that brought slavery to an end you might recall.





And the Democrats are constantly trying to enslave us. Always higher taxes, taking away property rights in the name of environmentalism, no prayer in school, trying to shut down free speech via hate crime laws and bringing back the “Fairness Doctrine,” … just to mention a few things.





The Republicans are still the liberals… that is… the party seeking and attempting to secure liberty. The LEFT even stole their name. The LEFT calls themselves “liberals” but they are not for liberty, they are for enslavement.


The Republicans are the ones for liberty, thus the true liberals … not the leftist Democrats !

Reply:I don't think so but historically the Conservatives have been about more government power. Liberals used to be for more power by the people. However, recent Democrats have been trying to push more and more social programs. This equates into greater government power so it is somewhat confusing.
