Reply:I'm not a huge fan of psychiatry and social engineering worries me, but Tom Cruise is not particularly credible on this subject for any number of reasons.





Unfortunately the public and especially the media have a tendency to treat celebrities as if they were experts on a variety of subjects we and they don't know that much about.





Tom Cruise is certainly entitled to his opinion on any subject area, but having an opinion does not make one an expert. On psychiatry and social studies Tom Cruise is no more of an expert than I am or you are or any of us are. Perhaps he should not be beaten up, but he also should not be taken all that seriously.
