situations? By stating that it's impolite to discuss these subjects, the media and the politicians can effectively control everyone and the information they receive. Shouldn't we all start discussing politics and every other subject that directly affects our pocketbooks so we can get the best people for the job and the best outcome for the decisions made?
Isn't it a great strategy for the pundits to declare politics and religious subjects off limits in social?
Its not the pundits, this dictum goes back almost a century ago, and it includes religion. sex and politics at the dinner table. In the drawing room after dinner, when the men left the women for their cigars and brandies, those subjects were discussed.
Today we all do discuss those things, endlessly it seems.
And we are still no wiser.
