When an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure, why is the health budget focussed on sickness only?

World wide there is a phenomena that society only react to what confronts it with neither preparing for the future or trying to prevent the inevitable?

What makes this obsession with sickness so vile when what you focus upon you often get? Is it really any better to only bad news stories and the media focussed on making society only bad, because that is all people have ever had as a social image to aim for in the media, just because it sells?

Should commerce be the only criterion for choosing how government money is spent, in Australia or internationally, as a global community, do we not have an obligation to make the whole world healthier, and not just wealthy countries?

Is the accountability for community health by preventing illness so sick it can not prevent even affordability sickness as budgets blow out focussed on only being reactionary? What can be done to improve wellness as a health budget?

When an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure, why is the health budget focussed on sickness only?
Because nobody can make money if everybody is healthy! The big drug companies want you to have diseases so that they can prey on you and get rich. You have to take your health into your own hands in a lot of ways. Stay healthy by eating lots of vegetation and exercising regularly. Also stay away from all those fly by night new drugs they keep coming out with. If your doctor pushes you, then get a new one. It's a sad state that we are in.
Reply:Because it's only about money not about health!!
Reply:Your answer is in your question. They prevent you from getting sick, they get paid an ounce. They let you get sick and cure you (or not), and they get paid a ton.
