A world without?

Weapons, computers, technology, cloning, scientific knowledge, vehicles, carbon emissions, the media, social class, pollution, nuclear power and electricity?

Would it be better? Do we know too much? Would it be better if we went back to the basics? Where every human must band together for survival? Have we, as a race, become too thirsty for knowledge? Too arrogant?

What do you think?

A world without?
If we were without these life would be boring and would be based on just survival (think the stone age). Life wouldn't be as worth it. Maybe Earth would be healthier and maybe possibly more peaceful, but knowledge and exploring things are a part of life that can't be taken away.
Reply:Ask the Amish.

(Mind you, they never answer my emails.)
Reply:Actually according to the ancient Vedas all this technology is not knowledge it is ignorance. People use to build huge beautiful architecture 5,000 years ago and more. They didn't have heavy equipment or machinery or computer technology. they used pure math and science that steams form the ancient Vedas (the original "how too" books) that came with the material creation by God. All sciences are already given in the Vedas. Including Ayurveda (medicine) astrology, architecture, everything. Simple living, high thinking is the motto. The buildings and things we have today don't last even 100 years as we can see. In India and the East there are building that are over 5000 years old. And we call this technology. We should consider if we are advancing if we are more happy and have more time to do spend with friends and family and God. If we don't' then what kind of advancement is that. People work hard day and night for what? (temporary things that break down quicker than ever. See this video and know we are no doubt degrading, not advancing. http://www.storyofstuff.com/ According to the Vedas there are 4 ages- the golden age, silver age, bronze age and the iron age. We are in the last age of Iron, and it is considered the most degraded age. Lord Krishna exlains in His Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) what are qulaities we should aspire for. http://www.asitis.com/16/1-3.html This will help us become more pure and simple and aspire for higher things, instead of all this materialism. Thanks.
Reply:You can move to the mountains in Vermont and try living that way. I do every weekend and man, it's the balls. No people, no phones, no tech.
Reply:more... we want more of this... technology.?.
Reply:I think your nuts, you want to live in a cave? Go right ahead, I'll take modern living all the way.
Reply:I do not feel it would be any better.

If that were the situation our lives would revolve around survival in a very real way. While that may be the case now to some extent, it is hardly a crisis situation if crops fail to produce.
