Can India progress as hard economy on the strength of institutions fighting for being made opaque to public?

India is corrupt due to opaque institutions, be it individual, family, social, commercial or political –legislative, executive, judicial and media. The dealers in these deals do not want the deals to see any light or be shown in any light. Every institution wants immunity security for itself and transparency for others. Some institutions which claim to be vanguard of freedom oppose transparency why?

Can India progress as hard economy on the strength of institutions fighting for being made opaque to public?
Use the Right to Information Act to bring transperancy in the system.
Reply:I dont thik transparency will be an issue for India's growth, it has very insignificant if not no significance on growth of the economy. And it is completely unjustifies that institutions are fihting to be opaque... I think indian cos are more and more transparent in the lines of western economies (but still even western economies are not cent % transparent). I think India is in the right path %26amp; with regulations like 'right of information being passed' India is headed in the right direction.
Reply:please do not worry, there are burial grounds, for the purpose and inside stock-markets, you will not commit a mistake of judgement.
Reply:Generalised and sweeping remarks are made based on the unproven postulate of corruption. Another hypothesis is made of opacity and a seeming debate on opacity vs transparency. A theorem is sprung axiomatically that transparency is virtuous. Then a condemnation follows with finger pointed towards an institution of the few listed but not specifically stated.

This is not the way a debate can be conducted. Specific instance has to be cited, facts presented sequentially, maladies listed out and possible remedial measures suggested for opinion, or sought from the answerers.

In the absence of transparency in the question I find it difficult to respond.
Reply:RTI is already in. what we must demand a whistleblower award annually,a witness protection Act, Administrative Reforms and a unbiased election commission.
