Am I a conservative or a liberal?

I want to pose a question. It has to do with the polarization of people in the United States. I would like to list ten things that I believe in, and i'd like to know where I should sit politically. Do I sound like a Democrat? A Republican?

Important: Do not respond to this question with an answer based on anything other than what is written here. Carefully read each of the ten things

I have put down, and make your best guess. I am not concerned with why you think I can't be one way or another, either. I am just curious if, based on these ten things, someone can figure out where I stand politically. If you decide to respond, please feel free to explain why you think I am one way or the other.

1) I am a Christian

2) I believe in helping people and the value of life, including people who are different than me.

3) I am a firm believer in responsibility. That includes government, business, social, and personal.

4) I believe that news media as a whole is nothing more than a cheap entertainment tool that keeps people polarized, impotent, and lazy.

5) I believe in taking care of our planet.

6) I believe in the right to bear arms, as well as the right to free speech and separation of church and state.

7) I believe that our biggest enemy is laziness, narcissism, apathy, and ignorance.

8) I believe everyone should have the right to an education, regardless of economic status.

9) I believe in finding all means of ending a dispute before going to war.

10) I believe in striving for wisdom, and by doing so, I believe in the power of listening.

Am I a conservative or a liberal?
You would be a Moderate Conservative Libertarian.

If that is not one of the choices, than a Moderate Conservative Republican.

You and I feel the same way on every issue you brought up and I am a Traditionalist Conservative.
Reply:moderate Republican, a la McCain. You also sound like a pretty cool person.
Reply:you sound like a left leaning moderate, but it is hard to tell because Conservatives and Liberals both believe in many of these things, but differ when it comes to the governments role in relation to these issues.

I say left leaning because you believe in finding all means of ending a dispute before going to war and that everyone has the right to an education. I'm sure Conservatives would agree with that, but generally I don't hear them say it.
Reply:You're a conservative with liberal tendencies.
Reply:I believe you are thinking too much. Only one statement you made could steer you towards any political party. All other statements are true of members of both major parties and all minor parties.

First off, do not follow any one party blindly, but I would connect you with the Republican party because the only partisan statement you made was the right to bear arms. Liberals will call you a gun totin nut job for that one.
Reply:Conservative.
Reply:You my friend are a Moderate Conservative.

1. Can go either way

2. Conservatives give more to charity than Liberals do. Much more.

3. Classic conservatism. Too bad the Republicans have abandoned their roots.

4. The news media is predominantly liberal.

5. This is a pretty moderate idea nowadays.

6. Right to bear arms and free speech are both supported by conservatives. It's the liberals who are trying to push "political correctness" on us. As for separation of church and state, conservatives believe in it, but not to the extreme that government officials can not express themselves.

7. So do conservatives.

8. Nobody's going to argue against that one.

9. Classic conservatism is non-interventionist. Reagan kind of changed it.

10. You could argue that Neoconservativess don't. But real conservatives do.
Reply:Your are a Scientologist
Reply:Beautifully set-up and well-made point.

I couldnt agree more with what youre saying.
Reply:basically your are a moderate but leaning Democrat.
Reply:based on those 10 things it sounds like you are a conservative or somewhere in the middle
Reply:You sound like a Democrat.
Reply:independant your smart and have good beliefs keep it that way and you will go far
Reply:You are what ever you want to call yourself. Make up your own label if you really need one that badly.
Reply:I beleive you lean slightly to the left. You should be a democrat even though you won't agree with them on every issue. If your a true Christian you do need to realize that Jesus was a liberal.
Reply:just because of your 2nd point (the value of life part) I'd say that you think you are a conservative.

All other points would make you a liberal

I'll bet your conscience has quite a time with this war and this administration.
Reply:You are a true moderate with some leanings to the left and some to the right. Given your belief in war as a last resort, public education and environmentalism, I would place you slightly to the left as a moderate Democrat.
Reply:Well Democrat and Republicans are the same things as the communist and you can check all three web pages and find that out for your self.

You sound like a morraly decent person but the 10 things you listed will not determine your political stand. They are moral and ethical statements so I would say you are a politician.
Reply:Moderate with conservative leanings.
Reply:It all depends on whether you are willing to accept an answer to your question.
Reply:You're a Democrat.
Reply:You sound like a Libertarian which is like a liberal and conservative combined. They believe in personal responsibility, letting the people run this country and give where help is needed. Look it up and see for yourself.

Reply:Tough call. you state a lot of what you believe in but no real stance on the issues of the day. You believe in taking care of the planet? Most do, how do you believe this is best done? I would say based on these "beliefs" you are likely a moderate in either party.
Reply:liberal
