my early years in madrassa, a tiny religious school adjacent to our mosque helped me become a human being of a fine character and inculcate a high moral values. with the break of dawn we proceed to mosque for our dawn prayers and after some refreshment proceed to madrassa. along with holy Qur'an and Prohetic hadeeth (prophet's sayings) we were trained in leading purposeful life in line with islamic teaching.





this education helped me in keeping away from GAMBLING, ALCOHOLISM, ACCEPTING INTEREST FROM BANKS, PROSTITUTION AND WOMANIZING and other social and moral evils. But lately some politicians and media are accusing madrassas as breeding ground for terrorists which is nothing but TOTAL and DELIBERATE LIES. This is nothing but a deceiving ploy by Islam bashers and haters who cannot digest that a muslim can keep away from evils and lead a refined and clean life.

Sounds good, but I have to wonder about your question. The last words of it, "for u", could be taken as a Freudian slip revealing your desire to impose your beliefs on the rest of us!





I, by the way, do share many (but not all) of your moral standards. Despite the impression the media presents I believe too that not all madrassas are breeding grounds for terrorists but promote consideable (but not all) civilized behaviors. I also share the popular Islamist view that it is criminal of western governments to support oppressive dictatorships in Islamic countries in order to try to ensure cheap and ample oil supplies. I even believe that the criminality of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in their unjustified and pre-emptive war in Iraq is no less than that of the Islamic criminal-terrorists who also blow up innocents.





Now, in the (frustratingly) small ways at my disposal I try to influence my fellow citizens to bring Bush-Cheney to justice. Its a matter of trying to remove the beam from my eye before trying to remove the mote from my brothers - or maybe it might better be expressed as cleaning up my own back yard before complaining about my neighbors. Can you do that with the Islamist terrorists?

Reply:You may be right when you said that you were able to excercise control within yourself because of your islamic upbringing, The soul within you is picking up everything from the external world that reflects your soft soul, we all hear and see what we want to hear and see, if every islamic person were like you, soft, wonderful, proper living ethics, mindful of your choices then why would someone bash or hate islam??? This is something that perhaps need focus on your part. The basing is not when something is good? The world supported the monks because no one took alms, they just walked, the world remembers Gandhi because he strongly believed that all world conflicts can be resolved thorugh non violence. Their acts are reveared by all. No one talks against his teaching or role modeling. people know of British rule as bad.


Its the same situation here, the same muslims who believe the same text are justifying their acts of violence as sanctioned by god who also sanctioned everything that you follow, What is your answer to this. They quote from the same text the right to kill the infidels, destruction of all religions, why is there a sectionist attitude prescribed is Allah Sectionist??? Isnt this contradictory to you??? All these good and bad behaviors originate from the same text! What can you do about this state of affairs??? why is it that you truned out to be so good and why is it that others are so angry and want destruction??? Is the text feeding everyones mental makeup? Is it why people do what they do because it has allah's sanctions???





You perhaps can spend time thinking and developing your reasons on this??/ Don't you think something is seriously worng some where??/Figure it out for yourself, why is it that media is able to read things which you are not reading that is there in the text??? Are you in denial????
